An elegant fusion wedding at Pynes House Devon
I’m so excited to share more from this beautiful day at Pynes House last July. Julie & Michael had a French-English fusion wedding, with lots of their guests travelling to celebrate the day together. I loved seeing the way in which they brought together the two languages, cultures and traditions to create a wedding that really reflected both them as a couple and their loved ones.
Favourite moments
With a dusty blue colour scheme that suited Pynes House perfectly, our couple’s attention to detail was incredible. From the handmade bridesmaids dresses, favours and stationery, to the handwritten vows and entertainment throughout, it was planned to perfection and a real joy to capture.
One of my favourite moments from the day had to be the ceremony that was led by Julie & Michael’s bridal party, complete with readings and officially tying the knot. It was so special to include them in this way and made it all the more personal for our couple.
The Ballroom at Pynes House is so elegant with it’s chandeliers and ornate details, it looked beautiful styled for their wedding breakfast. The speeches were translated both into English and French for the guests to enjoy and followed by a surprise cheese course by Pickle Shack! The day was finished with games, throwing the bouquet and the most fabulous first dance.

September is such a special time of year to get married. You’re still able to enjoy the blooming gardens and slightly longer evenings from the summer, but the crisp mornings and changing leaves of autumn are starting to creep in.
We’ve had our fair share of rain in the uk so far this year, but this doesn’t need to ruin your wedding day.
