Have I mentioned before that I seriously LOVE shooting intimate weddings? Well, I really do. This is basically a wedding where you have around 20 guests or less, just your absolute nearest and dearest family and friends. You may choose to have this type of wedding if you want something a bit more low key or want to really spend quality time with those who mean the most to you on your special day. Bovey Castle in Devon was the perfect venue for Rich and Charlie's intimate wedding, catering for it just beautifully.
This luxury venue is located just on the outskirts of Dartmoor and is so ornate, decorative and grand. Fireplaces, chandeliers and gold framed paintings decorate the rooms beautifully giving a real sense of history - and that is not to mention those views and massive pristine grounds!
I started the October day by photographing Charlie getting ready at the spa with her bridesmaids, as well as Rich prepping with their 4 month old twin boys, Best Man and Father in Law. As they both stayed in Bovey Castle the night before, it made it super easy for me to switch between the two of them. Their ceremony was held in the Library Room, surrounded by books and a massive fireplace, witnessed by their 15 guests. Afterwards we wandered the gorgeous grounds taking photos of the newlyweds, followed by their wedding breakfast held around one single large table. In the evening we managed to capture some magical golden light, my absolute favourite.
Thank you Rich, Charlie and Bovey Castle for such a beautiful day!
Hope you all enjoyed a little peak at these photos from the day.
